Montjuïc
The Mountain is central and the connection with the bus and the metro is not complicated.
For tourist, it is and paradise and not really understandable why no one of the people from Barcelona enjoys the activities of the mountain.
On one side you have the main entrance at plaza Estanya with the museum the escaladers, the exhibitions halls, etc. and on the other side you have the possibility to drive up with the train and enjoy the view of Barcelona.
Up to the mountain you have the Olympia stadium, a lot of different types of parks, the Castell de Montjuïc and a lot of possibilities to do some sport.
Between the city center and the mountain are the district parts Raval and up to the mountain you have Poble sec. Those parts are not really touristy and safe. Maybe that’s one point way so many people from Barcelona are not enjoying the fantastic area.
In Vienna you have a Greenbelt around the City! It is called Wienerwald. It is a big forest and it is not allowed to build.
On example is the Schafberg, it is a little mountain in one of Vienna’s district.
There you have also a lot of public space, like Swimming pool, dog zones, parks, forest, etc.
But it is a little bit different, because there are also a lot of buildings. It is an expensive area. Through the week it is totally empty, because the connection is really bad.
But on weekend a lot of people from Vienna enjoying the nature and the view!
