In my opinion I like both projects of Josep Llinas and OAB.
The concentration of the library, the market, the kindergarten, the civic center works very well. For example our daily life people go the market almost every day, and beside the market there exists the library. The library encourages people to read books. Like this way the concentration in one block makes the dwellers life more convenient and ideal. Moreover I like the small equipment in the interior patio of a block. I’ve thought the interior patios of 113m huge blocks are ugly. But it’s good that opening it to the public with useful way and well designed space.
In my city Seoul there is no example which has various equipments in one place. But the traffic infrastructure and commercial buildings combine together often. One of the example is the Central City in Banpo-dong. There are a Bus terminal and 3 metro lines. So it’s an important gathering spot. Because of the reason the commercial equipment joined together like Sinsegae department store, Cinus movie theater, Central convention hall, JW-marriott Hotel. Each one has combined together for their profits not for citizen’s requirement, but they are convenient also.
